     Scenes From the Hopital

In the darkness of the night,
And the strageness of the tide,
In the noise of the echoeing sirens,
In the disguise of the tidiness.
    What do you see?
I see a battle strivivng on,
    With death raging on.
I see a plethora of emotions
    Waving on,
    Asking the man,
    To persevre on.
    How absurd of me?
I see an unending sea of darkness,
A gloominess, where even the light is harnessed.
No, no, no, it is the only place,
    Where I seek solace.
    Why? I ask.
It is the only place without mask.
    Where originality steps in,
Where a spectrum of emotions is spread around.
Life and death are the tragedies,
    One is accustomed to.
    But, this is the place,
    Where hope is blazed.

    Who are you?

Frost covered the windows just as the memories hold on to us and when the light falls on them, it dazzles and melts. Just like the memories dazzle us and finally melts our core. I carefully watched it, all of it, step by step. That’s the thing about winters, you find comfort in warmth, it draws us back to our quilts and then slowly gives us motion.

Book in one hand and coffee in the other, I lay down in my bed lost in my own world of thoughts. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. I opened it.

A serene looking man stood there, still.

    “Yes”

    “You are Kaira?”

    “Yes, I am.”

“I am your uncle. Uncle David.”

“I am sorry. I do not gather it.”

“Come on. You don’t remember me, Aka.”

Suddenly that name struck in my mind. My father used to call me by that name. Is he really my uncle then?

“So, can I come in, Aka? Its freezing out here.” He said shivering.

“Yes, yes. Why not?” I said dreamily.

My mind still wondering on the man’s identity. He made his way to the sofa near the fireplace.

“Aka, Can you make me a cup of coffee?” He said giving a familiar smile.

I nodded and went to the kitchen at once. When I returned with a cup of coffee, I saw him with my father's photo. Startled I asked,

    “What are you doing?”

    “You miss him. Don’t you?”

Those words pierced through my heart. Unable to utter a single syllable, I nodded.

    “Your father sent me here.”

I was left baffled, “But he is ..... he is... dead.”

“You should let him go. He has a different journey now just like you have a different journey now. Don’t let the past hold your future back.”

With this, the man burnt the photo in his hand and vanished turning into the glimpses of my father.

With the emotions raging on, I screamed, “Papa!!” As I screamed a darkness appeared, I could hear the bird chirping beside my window. Sunshine dazzled on all the plants and the snow.

From the Mountains To the Fog

Let me indulge all in you,
Let the remains of the drizzling pearls,
    Endure me into you.
Covering me with all of you.
    Enveloping me.
As heavens come down on earth,
    To bestow themselves upon me.
    Like the ashes rise,
    From the burnt flame.
    Like the smoke covers,
    The remains of fire.
    Cover me into you.
Like I become all of you.

    Oh Mountains,
Who am I to conquer you?

Your essence is what I yearn for.
This Haze is what I am destined for.
For this Haze doesn't blind my path.
It is a part of me that enhances my soul.

    Benevolent of you,
    To think me like that.
    For without you,
    Who am I?

I am unfinished without you too,
For this haze is what makes me absolute.

     And Then I knew

    In the sublimity of Life
    In the mundane evenings
    Under the veil of night
Into the nothingness of the world

We are just bound to follow
    The nothingness, the hollow,
    We forget the materials
    we are created from.
    The possessions we hone.

    From nothingness we come
    And to nothingness we dissolve

    Under the scandalous universe
    I sat down
    Fears conquering my core
    Destiny or
    Fate
    A message popped
    and the fears hopped
    A smile came in
    Whispering
    An untold feeling beneath
And in the moment I knew
    My fear has subdued.

In nothingness Life has taken existence
    Within us is its essence

    Biases

    What are We?
    In this movement of Life
    And in the days
    When we all strive
    Where Are We?

    Well deep down
    Unmasking these biases we form
    With each damaged soul adding
To the  layer that we hone
    In the core
    underneath and all the more
    connected to the self

    There we exist
    An adamant pure soul
    Giving its all
    to Pursue and to fight
    this world's plight

    Underneath these biases
    We all are the same
    Some strive and fight
    and some just adjust
    to this world's plight

    Underneath the biases
    the desires makes us one
    underneath there's no rebellion
    Nor judgy eyes
    that despise you in disguise

We all share the same formation
After all we are the same creation...

    To The Ocean
    To the oceans so deep
    What do you keep?

    I have hold the remains
    All the ruins
    That once pleased the eye
    And all the passer-bys

    I have hold the secrets
    That only have been whispered.

    I have seen the stars
    And added to their glory
    Lighting in the night
    Biolumiscence that pleases the heart

    Ocean O'Ocean then
    Why are you so silent?

It's better to sink the past
And let the present stay aloof
    What has gone has gone
    Letting go is nothing wrong.

    Watching You Go
    Watching you go
    Isn't easy
    I don't know.
    From sharing laughter
    To sorrow.
And the days where we didn't worry
    About tomorrow.

    It's easy beside you.
    With no bias.
    With no masks.

I am what I can be.
I am what I ought to be.

    And when you go.
A part of me will go
    With you
    And i don't know
    What I ought to be,
When you are not with me.

    A part of me knows
That letting go is what I need to do.
But its heart that wants to hold.
    A part of vows.

    Those days
    Trembling with imperfection
    In no direction
    Meandering all the way
On the verge of falling off the way
    Came a tender hand
I will not let you fall
    She said.
    We will find our way.
    You are not going away.

    With scolds with chimes
    And infinite times.
    She led the way.

And I learnt to go through my way.
But her dear affection couldn't go away.

No matter how old you get,
But these moments of childish innocence
    You always regret.

    No fear, no worries.
    Just pure smile.
    No fancy desires.
    The childhood I always admire.

    In The Depths
    In the depths
    Where there are no bounds.
    She is in denial.
    Torn apart between the
    Perceptions of right and wrong.
    She doesn't know
    Where does she belong?

    In the depths my dear,
    One should be aware.

For in depths the line of right and
    Wrong
    Is gone.
In the depths lies the sunken remains of
    A tattered ground.
    Where the deepest desires hold.
    You only see the now.
But depths my friend holds the Chronicle before now.

    Above all.
    Depths know it all.

    Times
    The times are different
    Sometimes subtle and sometimes indifferent
A day when you are brimming
And everyone can see you shimmering
    There comes another day
When you are all dull and gray.

Time is neither your nor mine,
    It's purposes are unspecified.

The one that has reached the top,
    Will fall to the bottom.
And the one who is been in perils,
    Can fly above the hills.

    It's no one's enemy.
    But one with vanity,
Can never have the eye of reality.
    One with the nature's eye.
    Can see it pass by.
