Atmanirbhar Bharat : Overcoming Gender, Caste and Ethnic Biases

As a citizen of India we all know what cultural differences are. We as Indians proudly quote that

“Unity is in diversity”

But the when the question comes implementing why the cultural sentiments weigh more than Indian integrity. We must have said once in a lifetime that

“All are equal"

But where does this Equality go when the so called high castes are asked to have a meal together with the low caste. There is a question to ask. What hurts more , religious sentiments or religious egos ?

In some parts of India, girls are still not treated equally as boys. Still we always keep girls at backfoot. There is no equal status for girls and boys. The question arises :

Why these gender, caste and ethnic biases?

Why this partiality?

What is the basis of these?

Nothing, we just provide ourselves with lame explanation to prove our beliefs right. The high castes want to present themselves as superior to the low caste and this is where the conflict arises.

Everyone wants to present their religious beliefs as the utmost truth and the other religions as a prevailing lie. What we need to understand is everyone has their own beliefs and they are unique. We can’t bind them to our beliefs

Spirituality doesn’t compel others to follow them but ego and chauvinism compels and this is what needs to end.

We as individuals need to understand that everyone is different with different beliefs with different religions.

No one is superior no one is inferior,  we all are equals.

For India’s development people must understand the key is unity.

Every community must feel belonging to their own country. It is not  your country, not my country but our country. The need of the hour is acceptance and tolerance.

Acceptance to accept other religious beliefs and tolerance to practice them. We should strive for a country where ability matters not the differences.

“Let make India a better place to live”
